So after a very busy month in October of intakes and rehomes, I sigh a bit of relief and return the foster home back to normality again for a while….This month its seems to be predominately   all about the Spanish dogs…I had agreed to a gorgeous boy Felix who literally had minutes to live in the killing shelter before our Pod rescue group stepped in and saved him…Then I had a plea from a lady in Spain that had some galga pups that needing rehoming and she was really struggling and she offered to transport free of charge  over to the UK, so I couldn’t turn down Grace…Then a wonderful friend to the rescue, Carmel Holland offered to pay for a slot on a transport run if I wanted it, so naturally I was never going to turn that down, hence Yogi coming over !   I got asked to take Willow , a gorgeous girlie from a pound over here and finally a family found a beaten lurcher who we named Max and he came under the umbrella of LLR…

 

We have another new Lozza Lurcher Lovely lady, Paula Stephens who coincidentally fell in love with Felix when I first put him up and had followed his story and wanted to foster him with a view to keeping him, so he went off to start a new life English style with Paula, her staffie Floyd and her partner Russ…. Update to follow next month with his progress....

A fourth smaller kennel was purchased ideally for a mother and pups or any smaller boarders that may come into the rescue and be lost in the big kennels….

After nearly 2 yrs of LLR headquarters taking a battering internally with so many rescue dogs in and out the doors, it was time to do a spot of decorating in time for the new year, so paintbrushes at the ready, a couple of days was spent “tarting” the place up as the front room is always the focal point of all the video footage and visitors that pop in…

 

Finally a quiet month for doggies going off to their new homes, just Bonnie who has landed right on her wee paws..She has gone to a fab new home in Yorkshire with her 3 new Collie pals, she can certainly give them a run for their money, wanted to share a couple  of the photos sent of her in action..how fab are they !
