So on to our new intake for this month…. We welcomed the gorgeous MITZY. She was holed up in kennels with another rescue and although only 15months old, had spent the past 9 months in kennels with no interest.  The rescue knew she was in much better hands here with me so off I went to get her and she is a beaut !!  Then we had the stunning , oh so sweet saluki lurcher girlie, Lettie, who turned up at the pound unwanted, no more sad times for her now !! Finally the gloriously handsome Spanish Basil, only a young boy arrived from Spain ,you can follow his story on the podenco rescue site.

The lucky dogs  that went off to their forever homes were firstly Trixie…. Well Trixie went straight into foster last month as you are aware with a fab couple that lost their precious lurcher not so long ago and it was always going to be a case of they would fall in love with this girlie as she is so gorgeous and the official adoption process has been completed , what a lucky girlie !

The handsome Basil did not hang around long and went off to his new family and life on the beach in Cornwall, he certainly landed on his paws.. .. Finally  the stunning poddy Tessa went off to her new five star home in Kent with her new pal,  a wonderful rarer sighthound breed girlie , called a Cirneco dell’Etna ..The pair are stunning together, looky !!

The wonderful girlie called Tracey Bright, has signed up to be a super Lozza Lurcher Lovely, giving her hard earned cash monthly to help the lurchers. This is an amazing generous gesture that special people do and without, the rescue would quite simply not be able to help as many dogs. Thank you so much you lovely lady xx

The lovely Carol Senior always looks after the rescue as much as possible by allowing us to have any cancellations on the Charity Gig at Oaklands in Welwyn Garden City, so we had the opportunity to raise some much needed funds on the 23rd May and a massive thank you must go out to Jaq and Matt who gave up their entire afternoon to do the fundraising and then came up to the rescue afterwards to walk all the dogs, fantastic !!! THANK YOU GUYS….The amazing amount of just short of £180 was raised, super dooper !!! download

Our new poddy from Spain Grace went off to her foster home in the Forest of Dean where the wonderful family will work on her extreme nervousness and fingers crossed will be able to adopt her if she is suitable, good luck Grace !! x
